Safety Tips for Heavy Snow
For drivers

Refrain from driving your own vehicle and use public transportation (subway, bus, etc.).

Keep safety equipment for snow damage (chains, sandbag, shovel, etc.) in your car.

Reduce your speed on bends, hills, overpasses, bridges, and icy roads.

Always maintain a safe distance from other vehicles and refrain from using your brakes on icy surfaces.
For pedestrians

Stay at home if possible.

When going out, wear sneakers or hiking boots with a wide sole to prevent slipping.

When walking on slippery snow-covered roads and paths, wear insulated gloves and do not put your hands in your pockets.
At home

Be a decent resident and clear away snow from the path or road in front of your home or store.

Sprinkle calcium chloride or sand on snow-covered roads near your home to prevent slipping.

Children and elderly should refrain from going out.

In the event of snowdrifts, clear away snow from cars, gates, roofs, and rooftops.
In rural areas

Regarding crop cultivation facilities in risk of collapse (such as vinyl greenhouses), prevent damage by performing a pre-inspection or reinforcing any supporting structures.

Regarding empty vinyl greenhouses not currently in use in, protect the greenhouse by removing the vinyl.
